Residents of Montana First Nation depends heavily on Akamihk Energy for their electricity supply and natural gas distribution services. This is done in conjunction with our partnership with ATCO Gas and Electric and Fortis Alberta. We work hand in hand in resolving power outages within a short period of time. We also respond to Natural Gas line leaks with the help of ATCO Gas within minutes of leak detection. New residences are connected to the natural gas distribution lines and meters are installed in every dwelling. Meters are able to be digitally read and bills collected. Fortis Alberta helps with power lines extensions, new transformers with metered poles that are also digitally read for billing purposes. Electrical crew responds to blown fuses, anything that falls within residential power supply issues and are able to troubleshoot and remediate issues within the shortest possible time.
